Inspired by an italian vision of aesthetic, Il Carugio di Corniglia & Locanda Il Carugio, brings a sense of proveance to today’s travellers.
From more than 20 years We believe in genuine and graceful hospitality.
Il Carugio di Corniglia is one of the first guest houses built in the village and a family business from over three generations.
“Locanda il Carugio” is our last creation, born from a dream did many years ago, to give to our guests a modern choise and a terrace with view on the beach bay and Manarola – we want you to be a part of Corniglia, too.

Carugio & Pusu : two structures to satisfy all customers needs.
Our apartments and rooms are located in two typical buildings of Liguria, especially of the Cinque Terre – those colored houses.
Characteristics as their names : “Carugio” and “Pusu”.
Carugio is a three-floor mansion with a panoramic solarium terrace on top, equipped with tables, chairs, deckchairs and aromatic plants.
From here you can enjoy an amazing view over the sea, the village, the vineyards and on the Sanctuary od San Bernardino.
This building is composed by: Room1,Tavernetta apartment, Apartment2 and Apartment3, Studio4 and Studio5.
Il Pusu house is located in the heart of the village, our first square named Ciapàa, that hosts groceries and restaurants.
The house is divided in two spaces – a cozy apartment and a large room with bathroom – linked by a private terrace with view on the village.
We offer the possibility to accomodate groups for a total of 30 people.
If you’ll come by car, we will be happy to show you our private and free car parking.
All our apartments have been reclassiefied in 2007 and meet requirements of the National Park of Cinque Terre in terms of the respect for the environment.

LA TAVERNETTA
Max 4 people
Large apartment with private entrare diretcly from the leading of the sea.
From the first door you’ll take ten steps and you’ll arrive at “Tavernetta”, a cozy and fresh space characteristic from Italian style. From here, a private access conduce you to the cliff in 10 minutes.
The apartment consists of kitchen with 2 hobs and fridge, double bed (separable in two single beds), a sofa that can be transformed in 2 more single beds, a large bathroom with shower, little space outside with table and chairs.
PUSU APARTMENT
Large apartment divided in two spaces and common terrace with village view
Pusu is a house located in the heart on Corniglia, in the main square named Ciapara, divided in two spaces with a common terrace with a large table and chairs.
The first space is a proper appartament with a large livingroom with two little beds, lunch table with chairs, a double bedroom, bathroom with shower and a complete kitchen that includes a washing machine, dishwasher, and oven.
The second space is a private large and shiny room with the second bathroom.
This is the perfect solutions for families or friends that need privacy.

Welcome at Locanda il Carugio
Each room has been sensitively designed to reflect the building’s original nature. This was an industrial building we used to call “il Magazzino” the heart quarter of my grandfather Domenico construction company; the transformation of every space allows you to fully experience every room and outdoor space. A stone building, developed on one level between the center and the beach of Corniglia.
Each room is combined with a parking spot for your car just in front of the building as free, you will also find an electric car charger at your disposal.
It is possible to rent the entire structure to groups of friends or families for a maximum capacity of 8 people and an additional baby bed.

Small Room

Our small room have been thoughtfully put together in a refined manner to create a cosy and intimate den.
A double soft bed, a mezzanine bathroom with a desk that includes a fridge and other essential accessories. The bathroom is a mix of light ceramiques and new furniture in contrast. A large and minimal shower is waiting you there.
Medium Room
Max 2 people
Composed by a double bed with ceramic finishes, a console with integrated mini bar and kettle, rocking chair in velvet and large walk-in closet with safe.
The strengths of this space are the large bathroom with shower, furnished with everything you need, and the outdoor balcony overlooking the entrance and the vast valley of vineyards.
This solution is perfect to accommodate people with reduced mobility.
2 Bedrooms Room
Max 4 people
The two bedrooms offers a sense of modern minimalism for large families or a group of friends. With view over the green and wide valley, these rooms are our largest. If needed we will separate the beds.
The bathroom gives you a great sense of “home” thanks to the amazing shower jet of water we have chosen to make you fully enjoy every moment of relax.
There’s also a balcony located out of both the bedrooms.
This solution is perfect to accommodate people with reduced mobility.
If you are a couple you can book that space and we will close one bedroom.
Small Room
Max. 2 people
Our small room have been thoughtfully put together in a refined manner to create a cosy and intimate den.

Terrace & Breakfast
The common areas of Locanda il Carugio are both internal and external.
Breakfast is served outdoor in the summer and spring months, indoors in the coldest season. The stone garden will be your frame for outdoor breakfasts, equipped with tables and chairs.
The solarium area will leave you breathless, we have created a space from which the view of the sea, Manarola and the Spiaggione di Corniglia will give you unforgettable moments; from sunbathing on deck chairs in summer to drinking hot tea and reading a book in winter.
